HIAB training courses teach drivers to load and offload the platform to which the HIAB crane is attached; commonly a lorry hence the name Lorry Mounted Loader. This can be by the way of the operator controls on the vehicle or remotely.

Candidates on HIAB training courses learn safety and responsibility gaining a deep understanding of HIAB crane operation.

Enterprise Transport Training offer a 1 or 2 day ITSSAR accredited course teaching the basics for the safe operation of lorry mounted cranes. The length of course depends on your experience operating a HIAB crane.

HIAB Candidates will receive a mixture of theory and practical training which will involve:

  • Deployment of Stabiliser Legs

  • Stowing Procedure
  • Theory and Practical Assessment
  • Final Administration and Candidate Feedback

Successful Lorry Loader course candidates receive a HIAB operator license in the form of an operator certificate and ID badge. The cost includes entry onto the Trained Operator Passport Scheme (TOPS).
