Why do I need training?

Regulation 9 (2) of PUWER states: “Every employer shall ensure that any of his employees who supervises or manages the use of work equipment has received adequate training for the purpose of health and safety, including training in the methods which may be adopted when using the work equipment, any risks which such use may entail and precautions to be taken”.


Course Overview

This course is designed for Managers and Supervisors who are responsible for managing the safe use and control of forklift trucks at the workplace.

Our Managing & Supervising Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operations course enables managers and supervisors to identify their responsibilities regarding MHE operations. The course will also equip them to identify and apply steps to minimise risks related to MHE in the workplace. Successful completion of the course will require candidates to complete a theory test and hazard perception test.

How should I train?


Onsite Training

This course can be delivered on-site at customers premises’. The course will be tailored to individual circumstances for the company. Up to 12 candidates can attend the course and will receive a RTITB certification upon completion of the course.


eLearning

All eLearning material is available to access anytime, anywhere with an internet connection and can be used on multiple platforms such as tablets, laptops and PCs/MACs. Candidates simply log on to the eLearning platform and work their way through the course. Each licence provides access to the course content, plus three attempts at the end assessment.

Candidates must complete 6 course sections providing approx. 3-4 hours of content. Upon completion an RTITB certificate will be issued.
