Forklift Training - Material Handling Equipment Operations Courses
Managing and Supervising Material Handling Equipment Operations
Why do I need training?
Regulation 9 (2) of PUWER states: “Every employer shall ensure that any of his employees who supervises or manages the use of work equipment has received adequate training for the purpose of health and safety, including training in the methods which may be adopted when using the work equipment, any risks which such use may entail and precautions to be taken”.
This course is designed for Managers and Supervisors who are responsible for managing the safe use and control of forklift trucks at the workplace.
Our Managing & Supervising Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operations course enables managers and supervisors to identify their responsibilities regarding MHE operations. The course will also equip them to identify and apply steps to minimise risks related to MHE in the workplace. Successful completion of the course will require candidates to complete a theory test and hazard perception test.
Our Managing and Supervising Material Handling Equipment Operations course is designed to train supervisors to ensure:
• Operators perform to the safest and most efficient standards under the pressure of a live workplace.
• That safety issues are reported and resolved.
• That administrative and training objectives are met.
• The safe operating practices that should be at the heart of any MHE operation.
Other content covered during the course:
• Health and Safety overview
• Statutory responsibilities of Managers and Supervisors
• Operating lift trucks safely
• Individual action plans
• Course review and questions
This forklift manager course is perfect for anyone looking to develop into a managerial or supervisory role within an MHE / forklift environment, and for those already in the role looking to improve their understanding of their duties.
